Hello again

I love this blog too much to leave it, BUT finding time to balance my real life, digital marketing and artistic practice is tough (#firstworldproblems, eh?)
So if you are interested in my recent work.

I started an instagram in 2015:

A Facebook page:

I do tweet stuff from time to time:

Harrods Disney Princess Design Gowns

I love looking at fashion. Especially the illustrations.

Whale Shark part 2

Finally made best as I can.
Not realistic, been taking artistic liberties here and there. Spots on whale sharks example.
Been too busy this week. So I am posting as much as I can.

She Barking mad?

Some incomplete illustrations I worked on this summer: hair and tree bark pattern.

And something I am working on now.

Joined a collective- excited. Slowly and surely getting back on track.
Current obsession is TED (I'll add the widget to this blog)- one of my favourites is Jane McGonigal's talk

For World Mental Health Day which was last Wednesday (10th October).

On the road to recovery. Something I can personally relate to.

Artistic Influence: Carolina Melis, Maggie Li

Making adjustments to this blog today.

Thanks to Pinterest and other bloggers like Puglypixel this has been made possible.

Whale shark

Incomplete digital painting based on a dream I had.

I'm slowly becoming obsessed with spots and dots, coincidentally Yayoi Kusama  had recently been on the media radar, due to her collaboration with Luis Vuitton (view the collection here) Its exquisite!
Her story is amazing too (read it here)

A lot of adjustments needs to be done before this is complete.

Still here

Bank Holiday...

Also Notting Hill Carnival day 2 which I decided to miss.

Look what I found instead.
Food and love.

Some more sketches from today/yesterday.

The elderly ladies of Havana.

My grandfather loves elephants, so I often associate them with him. He is very wise.

And my hair in the morning:

Trying this gentle pencil approach in the style of Helen Oxenbury
When I was reading The Three Little Wolves to my cousin (and myself), I remembered how I would read Alice's Adventure in Wonderland over and over again just because I loved  Oxenbury's illustrations.

Added some colour.

Digital sketches

Quick digital sketch of shiny costumes and anatomy.

Haven't posted in a while. I'm between 2 houses at the moment, and blah blah blah (insert excuses here). I found the image below when I was sorting my mac.

Unfinished digital painting from June.
My love of bellydancing and Tuareg clothes.
