"Bless you!"

Old sketches

Its official.
I lost ALL my documents created before 2011.
That means most of the illustrations here cannot be retrieved because the psds are saved in my hard drive, which malfunctioned.
I still have some of the old illustrations from the faulty hard drive that I intended to post but didn't.
Some character sketches.
'Melody played the blues'
Set in a Jazz club.
Below, some initial sketches for
'The Adventures of Ms Effie Cherryleaf'
A Victorian/ steampunk story of a dangerous gambler.
One day, I'll have all the time to develop these stories, and characters..and my drawing skills.

Rapunzel

Due to a copyright law I couldn't use "Rapunzel" as a name, so I made a little altercation.

Or I simply forgot to spell check 'Rapuzel' before spending 4 hours on this:-D
If I had more time, I would correct it. Maybe later.

Background texture sourced from Shadowhouse Creations.

The sisters

I highly respect people who can tell/write an engaging story. I'm sure I'm not the only one- but I have so many ideas for stories I find hard to express well. One of them is the story called '2 Sisters' and it is about 2 sisters.
One represents order the other chaos.
(on that note: that is NOT based on me and my sister- love you Hilda!)
So I decided to have a little fun and play with the visual possibilities:

It was really fun. Especially the style of typography which I had come across in the corner The Guardian: The Guide supplement.
I have no idea who the artist is, but I will credit them- if this style looks similar let me know.
Enjoyed creating this so I used it to create a blog title.

Been wanting to change the look of this blog for a while...

play that jazz

Happy New Year!
Hope you had a good one.
Been a long time since I've posted anything, so I have a few things to share.
