Sketches to share

Couple of days ago I decided to join 'meetups'. I joined "Artists and Illustrators" and other drawing groups because I get lonely. And want to draw better.

This was from the performance by musicians from the Royal College of Music, at Royal Festival Hall, Southbank.  Its hard to tell since I only drew heads and most of them are the audience.

It took me time to get into it really but I managed to produce some convincing profiles....well, some.

 Violinist from the quartet

The gentleman above was my favorite not because I had grasped the biro by then, but because of his expression. He really enjoyed the music, expressing his appreciation by nodding along with closed eyes.

Pianist.

Spring Cleaning

Spent yesterday clearing my cluttered room and made a few discoveries, so I want to share my favorites with you.

Some observational sketches:

Soon to be BA Animation class, I think last year in the summer

In Langeland, Denmark. Plenty of drawing took place then, but few i was satisfied with.
Cherry tree.

Speaking of Cherry, here is Miss Cherryleaf initial sketches

Then I had another story in mind, which was a ghost story which was really an excuse to have fun with ink.

Its funny how easily one forgets what you have.

Toodles.

Motorbike

In between the projects, I've been trying to draw strange futuristic vehicles. Motorcycles in particular.

Being perfectionist me, its not that good- but hey, its a testament to the progress I've made!

Portrait

 Practice, practice, practice.

"Eat, pray, heart. Eat, pray, in the chest..."

To quote Gloria from 'Modern Family' Oscars promo. Hilarious.

Things have been slow for me for the last fortnight; spent a night in hospital, week in bed, a morning presenting my animatic, time with family, and opened up a Twitter account. Yup.

Practicing digital painting.

At this point I'm going to do more observational drawings.

Heads together

Been able to sneak in some sketches during these busy times.

I'm devoted to my graduation film at the moment but I'll try updating this blog, play with the template designs.

This week theme: "togetherness"

Birds of a feather

Lets put our heads together

Having a chinwag

Meeting of minds

Sci-fi paintings

Been working on my graduation film while practicing digital painting.

Hearts again

Made more card 'designs':

Concept behind this is that we are made out of love.
