Last weeks work

Other stuff drawn during last week.

saturday posts

Playing with the concept of being in a 'creative block' i.e. if the bird represented creativity, the cage represents my mind.

Been trying to recreate the effect of printing using digital media.

Also borrowed Rene Gruau book and was SO inspired.

I love his illustrations, so bold and beautifully executed.

So I thought of making a poster for a story thats been in my head for 2 years now.

Its based on the Ancient Egyptian mythology of Isis and Osiris.

Here's what I've done so far....

Hallows Eve. Happy halloween!

Hope everyone has fun trick'n' treating/ partying.

 So bright and shiny!

Don't know if this concept works.Quick digital paint.

So I was watching 'Dr. No' and wanted to do something on 1960's air stewardesses/ air hostesses.
This took time.  Here's a little snapshot of the progress of it.

Drawn, scanned, digitally painted.

On the process of coloring when I accidentally pressed some keys to cause this desaturated effect- couldn't undo it but loved it.

 Original colours

"Crisps not good enough ma'am? Let me see.."

Still work in progress but thought it was worth a post.

Some more digital painting I tried this week.

"Tightrope"

Love Janelle Monae.

As seen in new kent road

Conspicuous in her furry boots.

He fascinates me.

See him every morning on my way to college.

He is static like a statue and manages to scare the hell out of me- every time.

Indian Summer

27 degrees out.

Work in progress

Using Photoshop. Working tonally first makes it easier to add color later.

When life gives you lemons...

...use them for gin and tonic..

Bad Monday's! I rejoice upon your return.

This was my way of venting- wishful drawing!

(Btw lime/lemons, tastes good either way)

So I'm also working on some paintings for a show for my girl Medina details will come later- these are preliminary sketches.

Nighty night..

Poster art

Working on some posters for a society I decided to play with some inks- got inspired by a friends work. Don't intend to use this but it was fun. Let me know what you think

"No, pink loves me"

'Modern Family' is back for the 3rd season!

Can't wait to see my favorite TV family especially Cam and Mitchell.

Hope the colors show well.

I love this lady- shes got a tummy just like mine!
Trying to improve drawing and digital painting.

So please feel free to crit.

"So I woke up this morning...

...and I had my legs replaced with this?"

Warming up for digital painting.

Back to Basics

Digital sketch playing with color.

Fun with charcoal.

One of the many

Came across China Keitetsi's story ages ago.

Really wanted to make something on child soldiers, sadly still in existence.
